The Rookery Road Kitchen is a captivating exploration of colour and contrast, combining the charm of a traditional English home with a playful, contemporary twist.
This kitchen was crafted to honour the unique period features of the clients’ newly renovated home while introducing fresh, modern design elements. With stained glass windows, intricate cornices, and striking Victorian double doors in vivid blue, the home is rich with character – and the kitchen complements this beautifully, bridging past and present.
Celebrating Heritage with a Modern Twist
The Rookery Road Kitchen seamlessly incorporates the grandeur of the home’s original features – such as the stained glass windows and bold Victorian doors – while introducing a contemporary palette that feels fresh and lively. By mirroring these period elements in a refined, modern design, Georgia has created a kitchen that honours its setting yet feels distinctly new. The colourful cabinetry, sleek surfaces, and thoughtful hardware choices together make for a space that’s as inviting as it is inspiring.
With a layout that considers both aesthetics and functionality, the Rookery Road Kitchen offers ample space for cooking, socialising, and making memories. The blend of natural and engineered materials ensures a durable workspace that meets the needs of modern living without sacrificing style. Each detail, from the ply-edged fronts to the Neolith worktop, has been chosen with longevity in mind, making this a kitchen that will evolve with the family while retaining its timeless charm.
We loved the process with Husk from our initial design meeting with Georgia where she really helped us finesse our design, through to being super helpful in the final stages of installation when slight changes to the design were needed. The quality of the fronts and worktops are incredible and I couldn’t recommend Husk highly enough. Thanks for everything.
