HUSK offers a refined way to create a considered kitchen, with three main routes depending on your project.

For many kitchens, we make bespoke fronts, panels and plinths designed to fit third-party cabinetry, including IKEA METOD, Howdens and DIY Kitchens. This allows you to pair practical, accessible cabinet systems with premium HUSK finishes, details and craftsmanship.

We also offer Add-Ons, which are bespoke features you can add to a third-party kitchen plan, such as custom larders, shelves, islands or other special details.

For a fully tailored kitchen, we offer HUSK Bespoke, where we design and make the whole kitchen, including both the cabinetry and the fronts.

All HUSK fronts and bespoke elements are made in our Bristol workshop by our experienced team of makers.

No. HUSK is an independent company and is not affiliated with IKEA, Howdens or DIY Kitchens.

Our fronts are designed to work with selected cabinet systems from these brands, allowing you to elevate standard cabinetry with high-quality HUSK fronts, panels, plinths and bespoke details.

We offer both.

For third-party cabinet systems such as IKEA METOD, Howdens and DIY Kitchens, we can make the fronts, drawer fronts, cover panels, plinths and bespoke Add-Ons.

We also offer HUSK Bespoke, where we make the whole kitchen, including both the cabinetry and the fronts. This is best suited to projects that need a fully tailored layout, specialist cabinetry or a more bespoke design approach.

If you are using IKEA METOD, Howdens or DIY Kitchens cabinetry, feel confident managing your own kitchen plan, and would like HUSK fronts, panels and plinths, you can send us your completed plans and request a quote.

If you would like to add a few bespoke features to your third-party kitchen plan, such as a custom larder or shelving, Add-Ons may be suitable. You can add up to 3 Add-Ons to a third-party kitchen plan without needing a Design Service.

If you would like more bespoke features, additional customisation or support developing the design, our Design Services may be a better fit.

If you would like a fully bespoke kitchen, including both the cabinetry and the fronts, HUSK Bespoke is the best route.

Add-Ons are bespoke features that can be added to your kitchen fronts when you are using a third-party kitchen system such as IKEA, Howdens or DIY Kitchens.

Every HUSK kitchen can be tailored beyond standard cabinetry with our range of Bespoke Add-Ons. These might include custom shelving, larders, appliance garages, islands, special panels or other details that help make your kitchen feel more personal and considered.

You can add up to 3 Add-Ons to your third-party kitchen plan. If you would like more bespoke Add-Ons or a higher level of customisation, we recommend exploring our Design Services or HUSK Bespoke.

HUSK Bespoke is our fully bespoke kitchen service.

With HUSK Bespoke, we make the whole kitchen, including both the cabinetry and the fronts. This gives you much more flexibility over layout, dimensions, storage, materials and design details.

It is a good option if your space is unusual, if you want a kitchen that goes beyond standard cabinet sizes, or if you would like a more tailored design process from start to finish.

Yes. We regularly work with architects, interior designers, builders and tradespeople on both residential and commercial projects.

If you would like to visit, please book a Discovery Meeting with our team. This gives us time to understand your project, talk through your options and show you the most relevant samples and examples.

Yes. We offer a range of samples through our website, including FENIX®, Timber Veneer, HPL and other HUSK finishes.

Ordering samples is one of the best ways to explore colour, texture and material combinations at home, especially in the light of your own space.

If you are using IKEA METOD, Howdens or DIY Kitchens cabinetry, you can begin by creating a kitchen plan with your chosen cabinet supplier. Once you have a plan, we can quote for your HUSK fronts, panels, plinths and any Add-Ons you would like to include. If you need more design support, we can also talk you through our Design Services.

If you would like a more tailored kitchen, or you need custom cabinetry, HUSK Bespoke may be the best route. With HUSK Bespoke, we design and make the whole kitchen, including both the cabinetry and the fronts.

Not always.

If you are using IKEA, Howdens or DIY Kitchens cabinetry, it is helpful to have a kitchen plan before requesting a quote, as this allows us to price your fronts, panels, plinths and any Add-Ons accurately.

If you are still at an early stage, you are welcome to book a Discovery Meeting first. We can talk through your project, explain how the process works and help you understand what information we will need.

If you are interested in HUSK Bespoke or a more tailored design, you do not need a third-party cabinet plan before contacting us.

Yes. If you are using IKEA, Howdens or DIY Kitchens cabinetry, you will need to order the cabinet units directly from your chosen supplier.

You should exclude the parts that HUSK will be supplying, such as doors, drawer fronts, cover panels and plinths.

If HUSK is supplying your fronts, you should usually remove the following from your IKEA, Howdens or DIY Kitchens order:

• Doors
• Drawer fronts
• Cover panels
• Plinths
• Decorative end panels
• Any other visible fronts or panels that HUSK will be making

You should still order the cabinet carcasses, hinges, drawer runners and internal hardware from your cabinet supplier, unless we have advised otherwise.

If you are unsure, we can review your kitchen plan and help you identify which parts should be supplied by HUSK and which should be ordered from your cabinet supplier.

Yes, we can offer retrofit fronts for some existing kitchens, provided the current cabinetry is in good, serviceable condition.

We can supply made-to-measure blank panel doors that can be fitted to your existing cabinets, giving your kitchen a refreshed look without replacing the whole kitchen.

Please note that we do not offer installation for retrofit projects, so fitting would need to be carried out by you or your chosen installer.

If your project needs custom cabinetry rather than third-party cabinets, HUSK Bespoke may be the best route. With HUSK Bespoke, we make the whole kitchen, including both the cabinetry and the fronts.

HUSK fronts can be made for many integrated appliances, but compatibility depends on the appliance and cabinet system you are using.

If you are planning to use integrated appliances, please let us know during the planning stage. This allows us to check the details and advise on the best approach.

Please note that we do not pre-drill appliance fronts, as appliance fixing positions vary between brands and models.

For HUSK Bespoke projects, we can work with you to source suitable appliances and may be able to help access trade rates.

No. We do not usually supply hinges or drawer runners.

These are normally included with the cabinets you order from IKEA, Howdens or DIY Kitchens. Our fronts are designed to work with the appropriate hardware from your chosen cabinet supplier.

Our fronts are pre-drilled for hinges and drawer runners where applicable, so they can be fitted to your chosen cabinet system.

We do not pre-drill for handles. This gives you the freedom to choose your own handle style and position them exactly where you would like them.

We also do not pre-drill appliance fronts, as fixing positions vary depending on the appliance brand and model.

We use a range of durable, carefully selected materials across our collections.

Our FENIX® fronts are laminated with a 0.7mm FENIX® layer on both sides of a core material such as plywood, MDF or Valchromat, depending on the chosen specification.

We also offer Timber Veneer, HPL, V-Groove and other finishes, giving you a wide choice of colours, textures and material qualities.

Our HUSK x Another Country and HUSK x Ro Projects collections use ash veneer surfaces finished with a water-based paint product. This is solvent-free and can be touched up over time.

Each HUSK material has its own look, feel and practical qualities.

FENIX® has a soft-touch, super-matt surface and is a popular choice for contemporary kitchens. It is durable, elegant and available in a carefully curated colour palette.

HPL is a hardwearing laminate finish that works well for busy kitchens and practical family spaces.

Timber Veneer gives the warmth and natural variation of real timber, while using the material more efficiently than solid wood.

V-Groove adds a routed, linear detail to timber fronts, creating texture, rhythm and a more crafted look.

If you are unsure which finish is right for your project, we recommend ordering samples or booking a Discovery Meeting.

Yes. Many HUSK kitchens combine more than one finish.

For example, you might choose timber fronts for an island, FENIX® for tall cabinets, or a contrasting material for open shelving or bespoke Add-Ons.

Ordering samples is the best way to explore combinations and see how different materials work together in your space.

Timber is a natural material and will change over time, especially when exposed to direct sunlight.

Some fading, mellowing or colour change is part of the natural ageing process of wood. If your kitchen receives a lot of direct sunlight, we recommend considering this carefully before choosing timber fronts.

Samples can help you understand the tone and grain of the timber, but natural variation should always be expected.

Yes. Our minimum order value is £3,950.

This applies to HUSK fronts, cover panels and plinths only. Cabinetry, hardware, worktops, appliances, design services, installation and delivery are not included in the minimum order value.

Samples and Design Services can be ordered directly through our website.

Kitchen orders are handled directly by our team so that we can check your plans, confirm the details and make sure everything is correct before production.

Once your kitchen order is ready to proceed, we will guide you through the payment and confirmation process.

No, we are unable to process orders over the phone.

Samples and Design Services must be ordered and paid for directly through our website.

Once your payment has been received, whether this is your deposit or remaining balance, you will receive an email from our team within 2 working days.

If you need to make changes, please email shop@madebyhusk.com within 24 hours of paying your 50% deposit balance.

After 24 hours, we cannot guarantee that changes can be made, as your order may already have entered the pre-production process.

Yes, you can cancel your order within 24 hours of paying your 50% deposit.

After this point, your order may have entered pre-production and cancellation may no longer be possible.

For website purchases, we accept Visa Credit, Visa Debit, Mastercard and American Express.

For kitchen orders, payments are usually arranged directly with our team and may be made by BACS or secure payment link, depending on the order type.

For kitchen orders, we usually require a 50% deposit at the point of order confirmation.

The remaining balance is due 2 weeks before your order is ready for delivery.

Our average production lead time is currently 8–10 weeks from the payment of your 50% deposit.

All HUSK fronts are custom-made to order, so we recommend planning ahead, especially if your project is time-sensitive.

Lead times can vary during busier periods of the year, so please contact us if you would like to check current timings before placing your order.

If you have a preferred date, please let us know when you place your order, and we will do our best to accommodate it.

Two weeks before your order is ready, we will confirm the delivery date and time with you.

Yes. Someone must be present to receive the order, check it and sign for it.

Please inspect your order carefully on delivery. Any damage or incorrect items must be reported to us within 48 hours of receiving your order.

If your site is delayed, please let us know as soon as possible.

We can hold your order for up to 2 weeks after the confirmed delivery date. After this, a holding fee of £50 per week will apply.

Yes. You can arrange to collect your order from our Bristol workshop.

We will agree a collection date and time with you once your order is ready. If your order is not collected within 5 working days, a storage fee will apply.

We typically only ship within Great Britain. If your project is further afield, please send us an email at shop@madebyhusk.com and we can let you know whether we are able to help arrange shipment.

HUSK fronts are designed to be fitted to your chosen cabinet system.

If you are using IKEA METOD, you can follow the fitting guidance provided with your IKEA cabinets. If you are using Howdens or DIY Kitchens cabinetry, your installer should follow the relevant guidance for those units.

A competent kitchen fitter, builder or tradesperson should be familiar with this type of installation.

Our cover panels are intentionally supplied oversized to allow your installer to trim them on site for a precise fit. Because walls, floors and ceilings are rarely perfectly straight, trimming panels during installation helps achieve a cleaner, more bespoke finish.

Start by aligning the cover panel with the side of the cabinet, making sure it lines up neatly with your HUSK fronts.

Use clamps to hold the panel in place, taking care to protect the surface from marks. If the panel needs to be trimmed, we recommend marking and cutting from the top so the cut edge is hidden beneath the worktop.

Once the panel is in position, drill a small pilot hole through the cabinet carcass into the panel, taking care not to drill all the way through. Then use pan head screws to secure the panel in place.

To fit HUSK plinths, screw the plinth clips to the back of the plinth, then clip them onto the cabinet feet.

For corner plinths, we recommend creating a mitre joint for a neat finish. This helps the plinth sit cleanly around the corner and gives the kitchen a more considered look.

Yes. HUSK fronts can be installed by a competent kitchen fitter or tradesperson.

Because our fronts are designed to work with established cabinet systems such as IKEA METOD, Howdens and DIY Kitchens, most experienced fitters will be familiar with the general installation process.

We recommend sharing your HUSK order details and any relevant cabinet plans with your fitter before installation begins.

No, HUSK does not currently offer a standard installation service.

Your fronts, panels, plinths and Add-Ons will need to be fitted by you, your builder or your chosen kitchen installer.

For HUSK Bespoke projects, installation requirements can vary, so we will discuss the best approach with you as part of the project process.

We recommend cleaning your HUSK fronts regularly with a soft cloth and warm soapy water.

For Timber Veneer fronts, clean spills as soon as possible to help prevent staining. Although the lacquer provides protection, timber is a natural material and should be cared for gently.

For FENIX® and HPL fronts, please refer to the manufacturer’s care instructions, especially for guidance on maintaining the surface and its thermal healing properties.

Yes. We offer a 2-year warranty covering production defects in our products.

If you experience an issue related to the manufacture of your HUSK fronts or other HUSK products within this period, we will assess the issue and repair or replace the item where appropriate.

The warranty does not cover general wear and tear, scratches, dents, heat damage, water damage, improper care or damage caused by customer alterations. Any drilling, cutting or modification carried out after delivery may void the warranty.

Please inspect your order carefully when it arrives.

If you notice any damage, take clear photos and email them to shop@madebyhusk.com as soon as possible. You should also note the damage on the driver’s delivery paperwork before signing.

Damage must be reported within 48 hours of receiving your order. After this point, we may not be able to accept responsibility for damage claims.

If something is not right, please contact us as soon as possible so we can help resolve the issue.
