Quiet Confidence in Every Detail
This was a kitchen made for the space and the people in it. Fully bespoke from start to finish, The Marmalade Kitchen blends modern, clean lines with warm natural textures, making the most of a light-filled extension and bringing thoughtful design into every corner. It’s a space that feels as personal as it is practical – right down to the jars of homemade marmalade that now sit proudly on its shelves.
Our client wanted a kitchen that felt contemporary yet grounded; modern but never cold, so they opted for a HUSK Full Design Service and HUSK Bespoke cabinetry, allowing them to collaborate with our Kitchen Design Team to customise every detail of their kitchen. We chose a palette that reflects that balance: soft-toned FENIX Blu Shaba and Natural Oak Timber Veneer run throughout, pairing cutting-edge materials with traditional warmth. The layout flows easily and intuitively, making the space feel calm and effortless.
The Pantry That Has It All
Tucked seamlessly into the kitchen, this bespoke pantry is one of the standout features. From the outside, it blends quietly into the cabinetry. Inside, it reveals solid oak pull-out drawers, open shelving, and smart storage that makes everyday use feel anything but ordinary. The Blu Shaba FENIX with Ply edge doors add a refined contrast. Clean, tactile, and built to last.
We love our kitchen. It really is our favourite room. Georgia was great to work with and along with the rest of the team helped us to achieve a wonderfully warm, happy and practical kitchen that makes us want to stay there!
An Island with Intention
The island isn’t just a feature, it’s a functional centrepiece. Wrapped in Natural Oak Timber Veneer and detailed with V-Groove panels on Valchromat, it brings softness and structure in equal measure. Designed to work hard, it includes seating for three, integrated storage, a sink, bin and dishwasher, and open shelves, all laid out to make life a little easier, and more beautiful.
Framed Views
With a new extension overlooking the garden, the client wanted to celebrate the view while still keeping the space functional. We designed a custom window seat with hidden storage beneath, featuring a pump hinge door, as well as a sleek oak-fronted cupboard nook alongside. Together, they create a calm reading spot that blends into the architecture while offering practical purpose.
Every Handle, Considered
All the handles in this kitchen were designed and made by Husk, a detail that quietly lifts the whole room. The pull handles in both FENIX and Oak echo the kitchen’s materials, while the FENIX Blu Shaba Ply-edged handles offer a tactile contrast. These handles were based off of our Another Country X HUSK solid oak kitchen handles – this show a good cohesion throughout the kitchen. The kitchen island handles match the oak veneer on the island and are our Another Country X HUSK solid oak pull handles.
In the window seat, bespoke recessed handles were created to keep the lines clean and uninterrupted. Even the veneer direction was considered, laid purposefully at an opposite angle for a modern, crafted touch.
Light, Lifted
The 12mm All White and Abu Dhabi Neolith worktop were chosen for their simplicity and bounce, it reflects light around the room beautifully, creating a sense of clarity and calm. Paired with terrazzo tile splashbacks, the result is a palette that feels cohesive, clean and quietly characterful. Simple Natural Oak shelves above the worktops feature hidden LED lights underneath that help bounce light onto the worktops and also comfortably home a place for the client to show off their own handmade marmalade.
