A vibrant custom kitchen in Lyme Regis set within a contemporary split-level extension.
Set inside a beautifully considered timber and glass extension by RAK Architecture, this vibrant kitchen displays a confident use of colour and material within a calm, architectural setting.
The kitchen sits within a split-level, open-plan living space that gently steps from house to landscape, creating a sense of flow while maintaining defined zones for cooking, dining, and living.
The space balances heritage and modern design, pairing an exposed pale timber structure with expansive glazing and views out to the garden beyond. Natural ash tones, soft neutral surfaces, and bold clementine cabinetry combine to create a warm yet striking aesthetic.
Built on Howdens cabinets with bespoke detailing by HUSK
Brought to life through our Custom Design Service, this kitchen is a refined example of combining high-street cabinets with HUSK craftsmanship to create a unique and design-led space.
The clients chose a Custom Timber Veneer in Natural Ash, opting for a clear lacquer to celebrate the grain, and paired this with a Custom Clementine Laminate (Formica) that gives a subtle nod to their involvement with the RNLI. All panels reveal the Plywood core at the edges, giving the space a grounding sense of honest materiality.
The design incorporates a series of bespoke elements, including a Floating Breakfast Bar in HPL Linen on 36mm Plywood, and Solid Ash Curved Pull-Bar Handles. These thoughtful details, combined with durable Neolith® Retrostone worktops and carefully integrated storage, result in a highly functional kitchen that is both enduring and personal.
