Our client was looking to refine their basic Howdens kitchen plan – with a vision of transforming their large space into a comfortable, Scandinavian-inspired kitchen and living room.
Apathetic about Howdens’ standard offering (and finding themselves unable to source the right finishes elsewhere), the client worked with our designers to explore our range of Hardwood Veneers – settling on a combination of White Tint Oak and Smoked Oak to emulate the Scandi tones they’d been seeking.
After matching our custom kitchen fronts with their Howdens plan, we incorporated a range of HUSK bespoke elements – including a long run of overhead cabinets, bespoke island shelving and a classic HUSK breakfast larder – transforming the space into a stylish hub of functionality.

“Just wanted to say we absolutely love the samples we received. We’d love to get a quote from Husk for the doors and drawer fronts based on our Howdens cabinet design/layout”
A more sustainable alternative to solid wood, our Hardwood Veneer range is made by laminating thin slices of timber onto a plywood or MDF core.
The veneering process allows for the same visual appeal as a solid wood front, while maximising usability of the source timber – and produces an arguably stronger, more uniform end product to boot.
We go the extra mile to laminate all of our veneered panels in-house, allowing us to carefully match the wood grain for style and consistency.
Made to order in our Bristol Workshop, our stylish V-Groove Kitchen Fronts are available in a choice of Natural Oak, Smoked Oak and Walnut Veneers – mimicking traditional wooden slatting yet with a modern, refined twist.
This accent range is available with three well-defined groove spacings: 25mm, 50mm and 100mm – offering a plethora of design possibilities with an option for every space.
Each groove is precision machine-cut into a veneered board with a blackened core, creating a pronounced shadow gap for clarity at any light level.
We source the very best in composite worktops from industry-leading brands including Dekton and Neolith – offering a cost-effective alternative to solid stone worktops.
Produced by compacting a careful selection of minerals in a 25,000 tonne press, composite stone worktops are just as hard as quartz and available in a range of beautiful finishes.
We work closely with our UK suppliers to ensure that templating, fitting and finishing are all included in the price of your worktop.
