This kitchen is a shining example of HUSK’s fully-bespoke kitchen service – with both the fronts and the cabinets being made by us in our Bristol workshop. We also supplied the appliances, hardware and worktops as part of this service.
Our clients sought a bright, contemporary kitchen to fit the scheme of their period property. To achieve this, we bordered FENIX® fronts (in a gorgeous Verde Brac) with exposed plywood edges and Mont Blanc White worktops. Incorporated within the kitchen layout are also bespoke island shelving units and a bespoke breakfast larder built onto the wall pillar.
With accenting brass hardware from Plank and a Quooker boiling water tap, we think this combination excels at creating a comforting yet modern kitchen.
Incorporated into the kitchen’s layout are bespoke shelving units on the island, providing both practical storage and an opportunity for the homeowners to display personal items. A custom breakfast larder, built into the wall pillar, adds a unique feature that maximises the use of space without detracting from the kitchen’s airy and open feel.
Accenting the cabinetry are brass hardware pieces from Plank, whose warm, metallic tones complement the Verde Brac fronts and elevate the overall aesthetic. The kitchen is completed with a Quooker boiling water tap, blending both style and practicality in this highly functional yet stylish kitchen.
To maximise storage, a HUSK Bespoke Double Pantry was incorporated, utilising the room’s height to provide ample space for homegrown produce and preserves. Locally quarried Blue Lias stone flooring was chosen to match the original flagstones, complemented by underfloor heating for added comfort. The finishing touch was a striking oval suspended wood burner in the fireplace, providing warmth and a cosy spot for their dog, Kit. This thoughtful design and meticulous fitting process resulted in a kitchen that beautifully marries contemporary functionality with the home’s historic elements.
In addition to the kitchen, our clients added a small utility room to enhance the home’s functionality. This space features the same bespoke cabinetry and durable FENIX® finishes as the kitchen, ensuring a cohesive design throughout.
The utility room is equipped with practical solutions, including handy cabinets and countertops, to keep cleaning supplies and household items organized. A dedicated area for laundry appliances was also included, making it a convenient and efficient workspace. This utility room design not only complements the kitchen but also adds to the overall practicality and appeal of The Priest’s House.
